-2-2. George Huff: Well, I think George hunted through all his Elton John cds until he finally found a bad song. Probably the only one he ever had. But yeah, the song sucked. George, however, was absolutely awesome in every way. What a voice. George owns all. Go George, go. Go. You win everything. Yes. But why did he sing that song?
-1-3. Fantasia Barrino: Good, but I didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I normally do her performances. I don't think it had anything to do with her singing, so much as how the song fit her voice. She was definitely technically spot on as normal, and it even sounded great, just something didn't click for me. Oh, and again with the yeah yeah yeah ending which is getting incredibly tired. Funny, I was in the middle of writing this while Paula and Randy blew praise out their [Radio Edit] and then Simon goes and agrees with me. Funny.
-3-4. Latoya London: Great technical performance, as always. I think the only problem I really have with Latoya is her song choice. She always does these big, powerful, MOR diva songs, and it just gets a little tired. She's certainly a wonderful singer though.
-4-6. Diana DeGarmo: This might've been her worst performance for me. I mean, she's still got an excellent voice, but it was just ok. I think she could've given that performance in her sleep. I did notice she was running out of breath, perhaps something to her being sick.
-5-1. Jennifer Hudson: Wow, that was absolutely phenomenal. She took her voice right to the limit the entire way through, and performed an excellent song excellently. Not much else to say.
-7-5. Jasmine Trias: I really enjoyed this performance.. for the most part. It was perhaps a bit out of range for her, and she lost tune on a couple of the high notes, and then on a couple lower ones when she just let up. Also, so much of it WAS in that upper range, that she had to perhaps sing too loud on a lot of it, which made it a bit fatiguing towards the end. Decent.
-6-7. Jasmine Trias: Perfect song choice. Or at least that's what I thought before he started. Don't know, it just sounded like he was off-key or something most of the way through. It almost seemed like he was just throwin it off, not putting much effort into it or something, perhaps just trying to be too casual? Something just missed there, starting to think it just might be his voice, it's unique once or twice, but isn't holding up too well. Oh, and Seacrest's questions sucked.
-9-8. John Stevens: Ok, this was a decent performance, for John. That said, it sucked. I just don't like his voice. They're probably not, but every note sounds out of tune, and well.. bad. And to make it worse, he picked easily the cheesiest song in EJ's catalogue. And it was just that, cheezy as hell. That stupid high part where he sung like a 2 year old was absolutely terrible. And I'd like to thank the judges for layin' it all out there in such brutal fashion, as it should be. If America votes him through yet again I think I might have to strangle something to death.
-10-9. Camile Velasco: Well, her hair looked quite nice. That's the best I can say. Other than that, I'm sure she probably hit a note somewhere in there, though probably by accident. Horrible. Terrible. Awful. Probably even worse than John Stevens travesty last week. And never mind what I said about John, he can stay one more week after all...
